I want to be clear—I am not advocating for banning any particular company or product. I understand that in business, we sometimes have to go with what is most practical or available.
That said, if you are in the medical, dental, or pharmaceutical fields and use 3M products regularly, I suggest considering whether alternative suppliers might also meet your needs.
The reason is simple: our medical staff continue to struggle with shortages of N95 masks, and I cannot help but place partial responsibility on both 3M and the U.S. government for failing to honor commitments to deliver these critical products.
It is also worth remembering that Canada sent more than 2,000 medical staff across the border to assist our southern neighbors. Unfortunately, that goodwill was not reciprocated when we faced our own urgent needs.
This is not about boycotts or bans—it is about making thoughtful decisions and ensuring that our healthcare workers are never again left unprotected in times of crisis.
